Silvina Amador is no stranger to hospitals. Being a kidney transplant patient, that’s no surprise. But the last thing Silvina imagined was that she’d find herself in Holland Hospital’s ER with heart failure.
There it was quickly determined that Silvina needed immediate surgery. Following her operation, she was transferred to Holland Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit, where she received round-the-clock care for fifteen days. As part of her outpatient care, Silvina enrolled in Holland Hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program, where she was provided with information, exercises and encouragement to live a heart-healthy lifestyle.
Today, Silvina is thrilled with the care and compassion she received at Holland Hospital. She’s especially thankful for the attentive care of her interpreters. “I put my trust in God and in them,” she says. “I was right both times.”
