2006 & 2007 Governor's Award of Excellence for Improving Care in the Hospital Setting
The Governor’s Award recognizes hospitals achieving high levels of quality in selected clinical areas. In Sept. 2007 and again in 2008, Holland Hospital received the Governor’s Awards of Excellence for: Appropriate Care Measures; Surgical Care Infection Prevention initiative; and Emergency Department Award.

This 2005 and 2006 national award recognizes Holland Hospital as one of the nation’s top 100 hospitals following an objective comparison of 18 different quality measures. Holland Hospital was named a top performing hospital for care of heart attack, heart failure and pneumonia.

INNOVATIONS IN HEALTH CARE AWARD
Presented to Holland Hospital in 2005 by the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan, the tribute honors programs that improve the lives of Michigan residents with kidney or cardiovascular disease or diabetes. More >
2005 STATE OF THE HOSPITAL INDUSTRY HANDBOOK
Holland Hospital was named on the Community Value Index “5 Star” hospital list, meaning that our hospital scored in the top quintile (20%) of the 3,308 hospitals surveyed. The handbook reports selected measures of hospital financial performance and discusses the critical factors that lie behind them.
THE 5C AWARD
Holland Hospital was honored with the “Celebrating and Creating Community in the Central City” Award for its School Nurse and Parish Nurse programs, which offer specialized nursing services for elementary-age students and area faith communities. The award was presented in April 2005 by Maple Avenue Ministries and Jubilee Ministries in Holland. |
